Lívia Vašáková: Natural gas has positive impact on decarbonisation

By 2030 natural gas is expected to have approximately the same share in the European energy mix as it has today. Lívia Vašáková from the European Commission representation in Slovakia will present the EU perspective on this fuel at the conference Gas market 2019. By 2050 the share of gas should decline. Economic Counsellor considers gas to have positive effects on decarbonisation. This has been apparent especially in the USA where it helped to reduce emissions.

Who is Lívia Vašáková?
Lívia Vašáková is an Economic Counsellor at the European Commission representation in Slovakia. Previously she worked for DG Energy at the European Commission in Brussels. She graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava and studied at the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria; Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Germany; University of Aix-en-Provence in France and the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. She also holds a post-graduate degree from the Europa Kolleg Hamburg and was awarded PhD degree at the Comenius University in Bratislava.
